Morning Reflections
Wings Everywhere…
What a beautiful Saturday morning on the pier. I got there a little later than usual today, and my feathered friends definitely noticed. They were waiting for me, lined up on the lifeguard tower and along the railing, and the moment I arrived, the sky seemed to come alive with wings.
There is something about their happiness that is impossible to put into words. They fly toward me from every direction, circle around me, land nearby, and somehow turn an ordinary morning into a celebration. Their joy is so pure and contagious.
Of course, Pegleg made sure I saw him. He followed me down the pier, staying close as always. Then came one of those perfectly timed moments I love so much. Adonis landed high on top of the pole with his fish while I was surrounded by birds below. Wings above me, wings beside me, and the ocean stretching endlessly into the distance.
Standing there, I thought about the little pink message I carried with me this morning:
“I am grateful for this beautiful life I get to live.”
And I truly am.
These mornings remind me that happiness doesn’t always arrive in some grand way. Sometimes it flies toward you on tiny wings, waits for you on a railing, follows you down a pier, or circles overhead beneath a brilliant blue sky.
Another beautiful morning. Another memory I never want to take for granted. Forever grateful.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
