Morning Reflections
A Burst of Sunshine…
What a beautiful morning on the pier.
The lifeguard boat went racing by across the water, and Adonis was up high in his usual spot enjoying his breakfast. I got to the pier a little later than usual this morning, and the birds definitely let me know.
There really is no way to describe how good it feels when I see them and how happy they are to see me. It’s like a burst of sunshine coming straight toward me.
I held out my arm, and here they came, flying toward me with so much excitement. Wings everywhere. It is such a beautiful thing to witness and one of those moments I never want to take for granted.
Moo looked up at me with that sweet little smile. I called for Domino, and sure enough, she came flying in with everyone else. Pegleg made sure I saw him too, and my new little friend who loves landing on my phone joined the celebration.
And just when I thought everyone had checked in, here came Honey Girl at the very end, making sure I didn’t leave without seeing her.
The message I carried this morning said:
“Do good. It will come back to you in unexpected ways.”
Standing there surrounded by all those wings, I couldn’t help but think how true that feels. Sometimes the good comes back in ways you could never plan, in trust, in tiny friendships, in familiar faces and in a sky suddenly filled with wings.
I’m so blessed. So grateful for another beautiful morning.
Capturing beauty, sharing light. 🕊️☀️💙
