Morning Reflections
Love Flies Toward Us…
There are mornings that quietly remind you exactly where you’re meant to be.
The sunrise painted the sky in soft shades of gold as I stepped onto the pier. Pegleg was the first to greet me, just like an old friend keeping a promise. Before long, the pigeons came flying from every direction, then lined up along the railing as if they had been waiting for the day to begin together.
Adonis was in his usual spot, watching over the pier from above. The waves rolled in gently, the clouds glowed in the early light, and for a few beautiful moments, everything felt perfectly still.
I came across a quote this morning that stayed with me:
“Life is too short to play it cool. So be honest. Love with your whole heart. Laugh often. Be spontaneous. Feel your feelings. Let your heart break and still fall in love all over again.”
As the birds flew toward me, I couldn’t help but think that’s exactly what they teach me every morning. They don’t hold back. They trust. They show up. They remind me that love isn’t something to chase. Sometimes it’s something that flies toward you when your heart is open enough to notice.
What a beautiful way to begin another day.
Grateful.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
