Morning Reflections
A Morning Full of Smiles…
Some mornings feel like a gentle reminder that happiness is all around us if we’re willing to notice it.
Today began with a crisp blue sky, scattered clouds, and the soothing sound of waves rolling toward shore. The pigeons were lined up on the rail as if they were waiting for morning roll call. Before long, they were flying toward me from every direction, turning an ordinary walk into something magical.
Adonis was perched high on his pole, keeping watch over the pier. Surfers patiently waited beyond the break, trusting that the right wave would come. A black-crowned night heron stood quietly on the railing, hopeful for a fish from one of the fishermen. A seagull strolled along the pier, completely unbothered by the busy morning around him, while a crow made sure I knew he was ready for peanuts.
In the distance, ships rested on the horizon, and a lifeguard boat sped past the flag, leaving a sparkling trail behind.
One of my favorite moments came when a cute little dog named Moo, that's always at the pier looked up at me and smiled. I held up my message that read:
“Be so happy that when other people look at you, they become happy too.”
Moo seemed to understand the assignment perfectly.
