Morning Reflections
Where the Water Knows Me...
My walks on the pier are one of the most grounding parts of my day. It’s where I unplug from the world and return to something quieter, something real. This morning, the clouds hung low and soft, and the water was glassy—reflecting everything with a kind of stillness that felt sacred. The birds were there, as always. Their presence is familiar, comforting, and full of joy. Honey Girl perched close, looking at me with eyes that hold recognition and trust. That look—hers—is irreplaceable. It’s the kind of connection that words can’t quite capture. These moments are treasures. I look forward to them every day. There’s something beautiful about being known by nature. About showing up and being greeted. About letting the world soften around you for just a little while. This morning reminded me: peace lives in presence. And love shows up in feathers.
Morning Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for the clouds, the glassy water, and the birds who greet me. Grateful for Honey Girl’s gaze—so full of trust and love. These quiet moments are everything.
