Morning Reflections
Etched by Hands, Carried by Tide
This morning, just south of the Venice pier, the sand held a beautiful surprise—an intricate design crafted by two artists, working quietly in rhythm with the low tide. I watched them shape the shore with care and intention, their art destined to be washed away, yet deeply felt. Pegleg greeted me like always, a familiar comfort. The birds were noticeably absent—perhaps sleeping in, enjoying the slow breath of Saturday. I’ll see them later, I’m sure.
Gratitude today:
For the artists who shape beauty into impermanence, for Pegleg’s steady presence, for the quiet hush of a morning without birds, and for the way nature and people meet in fleeting harmony.
