Morning Reflections

Chase Your Dream With a Smile…

There’s a quiet kind of magic that lives in the early morning—before the world stretches, before the noise begins. This morning in Marina del Rey, the sand was dark and glistening, the sky brushed in soft gold, and my whole little family was already there, waiting. The beautiful sand art was such a beautiful surprise. The reward for showing up.

Pegleg, my one-footed seagull, stood tall on the pier—steady, proud, completely unbothered. Like he knows something the rest of us are still learning. He doesn’t have everything, but he is everything he needs to be. And somehow, that says it all.

A little duck wandered by, taking its time like it had nowhere else to be. No rush, no worry—just a peaceful stroll along the water’s edge. Meanwhile, my pigeons came flying toward me like tiny bursts of joy with wings. That feeling… it never gets old.

Scooter, my beautiful girl, did her signature moonwalk past me—her own rhythm, her own style, perfectly her. Honey Girl came soaring in like she’d been counting down the moments. And Domino… she always comes when I call her. Always. That kind of trust is something I hold close.

This is why I show up. Not for something big or loud—but for this. These moments. This connection. This reminder that the journey isn’t something we wait for… it’s something we’re already in.

Chase your dream with a smile.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
