Morning Reflections
They Take It to a New Level…
This morning was pure excitement. Every day, the birds get more and more excited to see me. It’s like they take it to a new level—more wings, more joy, more connection. Domino decided to come out early today. I usually only see her in the afternoon, but I think she heard all the commotion and couldn’t resist joining in. Adonis was up high in his usual spot, Honey Girl perched sweetly on my shoulder, and Clubby—balancing on my phone with her one foot—was radiant as ever. They all have such different personalities, and I love every one of them. At one point, I reached down to pick up some string to throw away, and one of the birds got tangled in it. I was able to catch him and gently remove it. It really changes their lives when they get caught in trash. I wish more people could see that—how important it is to pick up litter, not just for the view, but for the wildlife. Just as I was leaving, Raven joined in. I always leave the Pier feeling so good. So full. So grateful.

Grateful for Domino’s surprise visit, Adonis watching from above, Honey Girl’s gentle presence, Clubby’s brave balance, and Raven’s quiet arrival. Grateful for the joy they bring—and the reminder to care for what we love.
