Morning Reflections

Joy at the Pier

Each time I walk down to the pier, it feels like the energy has multiplied. There’s a kind of magic there—an excitement that builds with every visit. The pigeons greet me like old friends, fluttering and cooing with what feels like genuine joy. It’s silly, maybe, but I swear they’re happy to see me. And I’m just as happy to see them. Overhead, Adonis watches from above—aloof, curious, maybe even amused. I always hope one day he’ll join us down here, in the thick of it. There’s something about these moments that feels so pure. So alive. I can’t quite describe the feeling, but it’s like joy echoing back at me. Their happiness becomes mine. And in that exchange, I’m reminded: this is how life is meant to be. Present. Connected. Full of joy.

Morning Gratitude Thought

Grateful for the joy that meets me at the pier. For the pigeons, for Adonis overhead, and for the feeling of being exactly where I’m meant to be—alive in the moment.
