Morning Reflections
They Carry the Message…
This morning felt like a quiet conversation between the sky and my heart.
The sun rose gently over the water, painting everything in soft gold, and before I even settled in, they were already coming—wings cutting through the air with purpose and joy. Birds flying towards me, like they always do. It’s a feeling I’ll never get used to… and never want to.
Pegleg was first, of course. Faithful, steady, right on cue. Domino followed when I called her, like she always does—like we have our own little language. And Ebony… bold, curious Ebony… jumping on and off my phone, making sure he was seen, making sure I didn’t miss a moment.
And then, the magic multiplied.
Pigeons landing on my hands, one after another, until it felt like I was holding a living, breathing bundle of trust. Tiny feet, soft feathers, wings brushing the morning air… it’s hard to explain what that feels like. It’s joy. It’s connection. It’s presence in its purest form.
And then came the reminder.
As one of them was flying towards me, I held up one of my messages:
“Remember to make room for good—
memories, belly laughs, kindness,
and everything that lights your soul.”
It felt like he carried it.
Like the message wasn’t just in my hand… it was in the moment itself.
That’s what these mornings give me. A reminder that life isn’t waiting somewhere else. It’s right here. In the wings, in the light, in the simple, beautiful exchanges we’re lucky enough to notice.
Life is beautiful.
And sometimes… it flies right to you.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
