Morning Reflections
Washed Clean by the Morning…
There’s something about a rainy morning that feels like a reset button for the soul.
Today, the sky was layered in soft grays, with just enough light breaking through to remind me the sun is always there… even when it hides. The ocean carried that quiet rhythm, waves folding into themselves, steady and grounding.
And the birds… they found me like they always do.
Pigeons lined up along the railing, waiting patiently at first… then not so patiently. Extra hungry in the rain, they fluttered and swirled around me, wings brushing the air in every direction. It’s the most incredible feeling—being surrounded by that kind of energy, that kind of trust.
At one point, a seagull was chasing an osprey across the sky, cutting through the gray like a little moment of wild drama. And just behind it all, the sun began to break through the clouds… soft, glowing, and full of promise.
I love how rain washes everything clean. The air feels different. The world feels new again.
And maybe we do too.
“Rainy days are good for the soul.”
Grateful for this beautiful Sunday…
Grateful for the birds that always find me…
Grateful for mornings that remind me to begin again.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
