Evening Reflections
The Sky Still Found Me…
Tonight didn’t go quite as planned. I had such a hard time finding parking that I ended up watching most of the sunset from my car. By the time I finally made it out to the water, the sun had already slipped away.
But somehow, the evening was still beautiful.
The sky held onto its golden glow while dramatic clouds stretched across the horizon. Sailboats drifted through the water, boats made their way back toward the marina, and the American flag waved above the rocks as daylight slowly faded.
And then there was the rainbow.
Maybe that was tonight’s little reminder that beauty doesn’t always arrive the way we expect it to. Sometimes you miss the sunset you were trying so hard to catch, only to discover that something else beautiful was waiting for you.
The quote tonight couldn’t have been more perfect:
“Forever the girl that gets excited when the sky is in pretty colors.”
That will always be me. Whether I’m standing beside the water or catching glimpses of the sunset through my car window, I never want to stop being amazed by what the sky can do.
Tonight may not have given me the sunset I planned to photograph, but it gave me golden skies, sailboats, beautiful clouds, and a rainbow.
More than enough to be grateful for.
Grateful for another beautiful ending to the day.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
