Evening Reflections
A Sunset Shared with Alexander…
Tonight was another beautiful reminder of how grateful I am for this life and all the little moments that make it so special.
The sunset was absolutely gorgeous as the sun slowly disappeared into the ocean, painting the sky in beautiful shades of orange and gold. The sailboats drifted across the water, and the American flag waved in the distance.
But tonight, I had a very special sunset companion. Alexander!
I always call Alexander my bully seagull because he loves chasing everyone else away. But tonight, he decided to stay with me for my entire sunset video. He stood there watching the sun go down, and it made me so happy to share that beautiful moment with him. Of course, he earned himself some extra peanuts!
A few of my sweet pigeons came out to visit, too. Pegleg was standing on the railing in the evening breeze, and my precious little buddy with one foot came to see me. I’m always so happy when I see him. His resilience and determination are such beautiful reminders to appreciate every little thing.
As I watched the last bit of sunlight disappear beyond the horizon, I thought about how beautiful life is when we take the time to notice it.
The birds, the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats, and even my little bully Alexander. Every one of them made tonight special.
“Everything works in my favor. What’s meant for me will never miss me.”
I believe that what is meant for us will find its way into our lives, and sometimes the most beautiful gifts are the simple moments we never could have planned.
Another sunset, another beautiful memory, and another day to be thankful for.
