Morning Reflections
The Beautiful Timing of Things...
This morning at the Venice Pier felt like a masterclass in timing. Surfers lined the water, waiting patiently for the right wave. The ocean doesn’t rush. It builds, it pauses, it rises when it’s ready. And when it does — everything aligns.
I watched as a surfer caught a wave, golden spray lifting into the air… and right above him, a seagull hovered in perfect suspension. It looked choreographed. Sky and sea moving together as if they had rehearsed. The beautiful timing of things.
Pegleg followed me like he always does — loyal, steady, proud. There’s something so grounding about him choosing to walk beside me. Not rushed. Not hesitant. Just present.
Adonis reached for the pole with wings stretched wide, claiming his place in the morning light.
The pigeons circled in happy loops, their excitement impossible to ignore. It’s amazing how joy multiplies when it’s shared.
Domino came when I called her. Honey Girl settled into her usual spot like she never left. That familiar trust fills me in a way I can’t fully explain.
Nothing forced. Nothing out of rhythm. Just waves rising when they’re ready. Birds landing when it’s time. Hearts aligning without effort.
Venice Pier this morning reminded me that life unfolds the same way. We don’t have to chase every wave. The right ones rise for us. I walked away full — heart open, face warm from the sun, deeply grateful.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
