Morning Reflections
Kindness in the Air…
This morning on the pier felt like a quiet reminder from nature that kindness is something every living thing can feel.
The sky was soft and gray, the ocean calm, and the waves rolled in gently beneath the pier. At first it seemed like a peaceful morning walk, but then the birds began arriving from every direction. Wings filled the sky like little messengers carried in by the wind.
They always know.
Before long the rail filled with familiar faces. Ebony was especially excited today and kept jumping right on top of my phone—his favorite place to perch. I think he enjoys being part of the moment as much as I do.
Honey Girl decided my shoulder was the perfect place to sit, staying close and watching the ocean with me. Baby Girl is getting so big now. Every day she looks a little stronger and more confident, learning her place in the sky.
The most surprising moment came when Pegleg showed up last today. Usually he is the first one to greet me, but this morning he arrived with a whole group of friends flying behind him like a little welcoming parade.
Standing there watching them, it made me realize something simple but powerful.
Birds even know what kindness means. They can feel it. It’s in the way they trust, the way they return, and the way they gather together. Kindness travels quietly through the air, just like the wind beneath their wings.
And when we choose to share it, something beautiful happens. It changes everything.
“Kindness is a form of magic. We all have the power to perform.”
Thank you for sharing this morning with me.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
