Evening Reflections

Stillness and Silhouettes at Sunset

Sunday evening at Fisherman’s Village was quiet and full of life. All of the birds were coming in for a landing on the fishing boat—hoping for dinner. The great blue heron, the great egrets, the seagulls, and even the black crowned night herons gathered together, opportunistic and patient, knowing the boat held a feast. There’s such peace in that rhythm—the knowing, the waiting, the stillness. As I was driving out, I looked up and saw the “Be Kind” sign lit against the sky, with the moon glowing softly behind it like a silhouette. It made me pause. There’s power in stillness. In paying attention. In noticing things you might have otherwise missed.

Evening Gratitude Thought

Life becomes more beautiful the moment we slow down enough to see it.

A hand holds a torn paper with the quote 'In stillness, I find strength' against a blurred sunset backdrop.
