Evening Reflections
Even Without Sunset…
No sunset tonight, but there were a lot of happy birds waiting for the fishing boat—waiting for their dinner. I love watching the pelicans. They were looking in the buckets, running so full of joy. The black-crowned herons, great egrets, the great blue heron, and seagulls were all anxiously awaiting. One pelican stood on the rooftop, looking like he had just figured out he was Batman. The sea lions played in the water, and Christmas lights glowed beautifully. I love my evening ritual—even if it’s cloudy and gives me an excuse not to go for sunset, I remember: it’s still setting, even if I can’t see it. I always feel better when I stay committed to what I say I’m going to do. I am grateful.
Evening Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for joyful birds, playful sea lions, glowing lights, and the reminder that sunsets happen even when unseen.
