Evening Reflections
Fog, Feathers, and Gentle Reminders…
Tonight’s sunset didn’t arrive with color or spectacle.
There was no sun in sight—just fog, thick and quiet, settling over Fisherman’s Village like a soft blanket.
The birds gathered early, perched and patient, all of us waiting for the fishing boat to return with dinner. And then, as if right on schedule, I spotted Pegleg. He must have gotten the memo that I’d be over here tonight instead of the pier. Seeing him felt like being recognized by the moment itself.
A cruise ship floated by slowly, its lights reflecting across the water—long, golden lines rippling gently in the stillness. The fog softened everything, blurring edges, inviting presence instead of clarity. I didn’t need to see far. I just needed to be here.
As I walked out, I noticed the Be Kind sign glowing quietly through the mist. A simple reminder, yet somehow louder in the fog. Kindness feels especially important in moments like this—when we don’t have all the answers, when things are unclear, when we’re just trusting what’s coming next.
Tonight, I’m grateful for mystery.
For reflections instead of certainty.
For familiar birds and unexpected reminders.
For the way kindness always finds a way to show up—even when the sun doesn’t.

Evening Gratitude Thought:
Not every sunset needs color to be complete. Some arrive as fog, reflections, patience, and a quiet reminder to be kind
