Morning Reflections

Joy That Flutters Back

There’s something sacred about my morning walks on the Pier. The light is soft, the ocean hums, and the pigeons—oh, the pigeons—are bursting with happiness. They flutter around me with such excitement, and I can’t help but smile. It’s true: joy is contagious. I watch them play, perch, and greet me like old friends. And in those moments, I feel it deeply—this exchange of energy, this quiet bond. I know I’ve made a difference in their day, and they’ve made a difference in mine. It’s a reminder that happiness doesn’t need to be grand. It can be found in feathers, in footsteps, in the way we show up for each other. I leave the Pier feeling lighter, brighter, and more connected to the world around me.

 Morning Gratitude Thought

Grateful for morning walks that begin with joy. For pigeons whose happiness lifts my own. For the quiet truth that when we give love, it always finds its way back. Grateful to feel part of something simple and beautiful.
