Morning Reflections
Healing in Feathers…
This morning, Pegleg showed up right on schedule—like clockwork, like comfort. There’s something deeply reassuring about being looked for by a creature that doesn’t speak your language but somehow knows your rhythm. Adonis was up high on the pole as if he were looking out for me. Yesterday’s news cycle left me feeling heavy. It’s strange how the weight of the world can sneak into your chest without you realizing it. But this morning, nature stepped in. Pegleg, Adonis and Honey Girl, and the quiet flutter of wings reminded me: healing doesn’t always come in words. Sometimes it’s in the way the light hits the trees or the way a bird lands near you like it’s saying, “I see you.” Social media has a way of pulling our attention in a thousand directions, often away from what actually nourishes us. I’m learning to be more intentional with where I place my focus. Because what you consume—mentally, emotionally—shapes how you feel, even if the effects are delayed. Today, I’m grateful for the birds. For the pause. For the reminder that peace is still accessible.
Morning Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for Pegleg, Adonis and Honey Girl this morning. Their presence reminded me that nature heals in ways the internet never could. Attention is powerful—where you place it matters. Today, I’m choosing peace.
