Morning Reflections

Berrylicious Rain…

This morning brought the sweetest surprise—rain, with the sun still shining. That kind of light feels like a secret shared between sky and sea. The pier was empty, and I love when it feels like I’m the only one. Just me, the birds, and the rhythm of the rain. There’s something about rain that cleans more than just surfaces. It clears the air, softens the edges, and reveals things you couldn’t see before. It’s refreshing in every way. Pegleg greeted me like always, steady and loyal. Adonis was perched high in his usual spot, watching the world with quiet grace. The pigeons were a little unsure today—I wore a color called berrylicious, and I don’t think they recognized me at first. Their hesitation made me laugh. They’re funny like that.

Eventually, they warmed up. Rain or shine, outfit or not, they know me. I’m grateful for the rain, for the solitude, and for the way nature always finds a way to connect—even when things look a little different.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Grateful for rain and sunshine together, for Pegleg and Adonis, and for the pigeons’ sweet confusion over berrylicious. Grateful for quiet mornings that cleanse and connect.
