Morning Reflections
Gray Skies, Bright Wings…
There was no dramatic sunrise this morning, just a blanket of gray stretching from the pier to the horizon. But mornings like this have their own kind of beauty. When the sky quiets down, the details step forward.
Low tide turned the beach into a mirror, reflecting the soft light and the gentle rhythm of the waves. Cormorants flew overhead, dark silhouettes moving with purpose through the gray. Adonis was perched high on his light post, watching patiently before diving down for breakfast. Even after catching his fish, the work wasn’t over. A determined seagull gave chase, a reminder that nature rarely hands out easy victories.
Meanwhile, my pigeons lined the railing like they were waiting for roll call. Before long, wings were fluttering toward me from every direction. Their excitement over a few peanuts never fails to make me smile. They bring so much joy to my day, and I am grateful for every single one of them.
Today’s little reminder:
“Moving slowly with intention beats moving quickly without purpose.”
The ocean seemed to be living that message this morning.
Grateful. 🕊️🌊💙
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
