Morning Reflections

It Just Gets Better Every Time…

Some mornings don’t need sunshine to feel bright.

The clouds stretched across the sky like a soft blanket, and the low tide revealed another beautiful morning waiting to be noticed. The waves rolled in gently while surfers floated patiently, and the beach felt peaceful in that quiet way only early mornings can.

Then came one of my favorite moments.

The pigeons lined up on the railing, watching and waiting. Before long, they were flying toward me with so much excitement. It’s the best feeling in the world, and it’s almost impossible to describe. Every morning I wonder if it could possibly feel the same… and somehow, it just gets better every time.

Clubbie couldn’t wait for breakfast and hurried over with that familiar excitement. Pegleg came when I called him, which still makes me smile every single time. Adonis was perched high above in his usual spot, keeping watch over the pier like he always does.

A handful of peanuts became another morning filled with trust, tiny moments of connection, and grateful hearts… mine included.

Today’s little pink reminder said it perfectly:

“Your best days haven’t even happened yet.”

Standing there surrounded by birds flying toward me, I believed every word of it.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
