Evening Reflections

Goodbye, August…

The last sunset of August certainly didn’t disappoint. It felt like August wanted to leave us with one final reminder of just how beautiful this world can be.

The sun dipped slowly toward the ocean, filling the horizon with the most incredible golden-orange glow. A sailboat drifted peacefully across the water, the flag was flying in the distance, and the Willets wandered along the shoreline as the little waves rolled around their feet.

Above the water, the clouds caught touches of soft pink from the fading light. Everything felt peaceful, almost as though the evening was asking me to slow down and really take in these final moments of the month.

The quote tonight felt perfect: “Let the last sunset of August paint your goals and dreams with hopeful hues.”

Tomorrow begins a new month, a fresh page and another opportunity to notice the beauty around us. But tonight, I’m simply grateful for everything August gave me. The sunrises, sunsets, birds, ocean, clouds, unexpected moments and countless reasons to look up.

Goodbye, August. Thank you for all of the beauty. You were beautiful right until the very end.

Grateful for another beautiful day.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
