Morning Reflections
Ending September with a Grateful Heart…
What a beautiful way to spend the last day of September.
The wind was blowing across the wide-open fields, and those big white puffy clouds I love so much were scattered across the brightest blue sky. There is something about all that open space that makes you want to stop, look around, and simply take it all in.
And being here at my parents’ house means I get a completely different cast of characters than I do back home. Instead of pigeons flying toward me, here come my mom’s donkeys, ready to eat! My dad’s llama made an appearance too, although he prefers to keep his distance. Apparently, we’re not quite best friends yet.
Then I even got to see a group of wild turkeys wandering by. It’s so nice to slow down and notice different things, different animals, different landscapes, and a different kind of beauty.
Whether it’s the ocean and my birds in California or wide-open fields, donkeys, llamas, and wild turkeys in Texas, there is always something beautiful waiting to be noticed.
Ending September with a grateful heart.
Grateful for the view.
Grateful for the animals.
Grateful for my family.
And grateful that wherever I am, life keeps giving me something beautiful to see.
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
