Morning Reflections
Cherish the Now…
There’s something about these wide-open Texas skies that makes you stop and look up.
The clouds were absolutely beautiful this morning, big and puffy, stretching as far as I could see. My dad’s llama was out enjoying the day, the donkeys were quietly eating, and then I looked up and saw a hawk soaring effortlessly through the sky.
I could watch birds fly all day. There’s something about the way they glide through the air that always reminds me how much beauty exists when we simply slow down long enough to notice it.
These days at my parents’ home have reminded me again that some of the best moments in life aren’t complicated at all. A beautiful sky. Animals in the pasture. Wide-open spaces. A hawk overhead. And time with the people we love.
“Cherish the now.”
Because someday, these ordinary little moments may be the ones we wish we could step back into for just a minute.
Today, I’m simply grateful to be here, looking up and taking it all in.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
