Evening Reflections
Always Look Up…
Tonight’s sunset over the Santa Monica Bluffs felt like a gentle reminder from nature itself.
The clouds stretched across the sky like brushstrokes of gold and peach, while a lone seagull flew directly into the light, disappearing into a sea of color. Standing beneath the tall palm trees, I was reminded to do something simple that we often forget: look up.
When we look up, we notice the beauty that has been there all along. We notice the clouds, the moon, the birds, and the small miracles happening above us every day.
A tiny hummingbird sat quietly overlooking the Santa Monica Pier, as if it too was taking in the view. The Ferris wheel began to glow in the distance, the moon peeked through the clouds, and the evening settled softly over the coastline.
My little message tonight said:
“Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.”
As I watched the last light fade beyond the horizon, it felt true.
Maybe something wonderful is already happening. Maybe it’s this sunset, this breath,
this moment, this chance to begin again tomorrow.
Tonight, I am grateful.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
