Evening Reflections

An Evening of Peace, Patience, and Little Surprises…

Tonight’s walk in gratitude took me along Ballona Creek bike path, where the setting sun painted the horizon in soft, peaceful colors.

As I admired the beauty around me, a tiny hummingbird stopped for just a split second, almost as if to say, “Hey, look over here!” Of course, I did! It’s those unexpected little moments that make my walks so special.

A grebe and a coot floated peacefully along the water, while another little grebe went racing by, leaving a trail of ripples behind him. I couldn’t help but smile. He looked like he was trying to outrun my camera!

A sweet little white-crowned sparrow hopped along nearby, showing off his beautiful striped head. Above it all, the moon was shining brightly, reminding me that even when the sun disappears, there’s still so much beauty waiting to be discovered.

Tonight’s message felt especially meaningful:

“Just because it’s taking time doesn’t mean it’s not happening.”

Nature reminds us that beautiful things unfold in their own time. The sun doesn’t rush to set, the moon doesn’t hurry to rise, and every little creature moves through life at its own pace.

Sometimes we need that same patience with ourselves and our dreams.

Another beautiful evening, another collection of little blessings, and another reminder to trust the journey.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
