Evening Reflections
All My Ducks in a Row...
Tonight, at Ballona Creek, the sunset arrived quietly, painting the sky in soft pastels while the bougainvillea blazed with color along the path. A crescent moon hung overhead, watching the evening unfold.
A little coot paddled by, bobbing its head as if it had somewhere important to be. But the real stars of the evening were the baby ducks. They seemed to be everywhere at once, swimming, waddling, weaving through the water and somehow turning a simple walk into a front-row seat to pure joy.
For one brief moment, they lined up perfectly and I thought, I finally got all my ducks in a row. A second later they scattered in every direction, reminding me that life is often more beautiful when it’s a little messy.
As I turned back for one last look beneath the bridge, the water reflected the fading light and the day’s final colors. The flowers glowed, the moon shined softly above, and gratitude filled the space between each step.
You are blessed. 🌙🦆💜
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
