Evening Reflections

Red, White & Blue Reflections…

Some sunsets feel like a celebration long before the fireworks begin.

Tonight in Santa Monica, the sky slowly traded daylight for soft shades of gold, lavender, and blue. The reflections stretched across the wet sand while the Ferris wheel glowed in red, white, and blue, reminding everyone what this day represents.

I wandered beneath the pier, listening to the waves echo through the wooden pilings. There is something peaceful about standing there, watching the tide roll in while the world above is filled with laughter and excitement. Every reflection on the water seemed to carry a little more gratitude.

As darkness settled in, the lights of the pier became even brighter, mirrored across the shoreline like ribbons of color. Then the fireworks began, filling the sky with brilliant bursts that danced above the palm trees and ocean. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful Fourth of July.

One little note I carried with me said it perfectly:

“My patriotic heart beats red, white and blue.”

Tonight, my heart is simply full. Full of gratitude for this beautiful country, for the freedom to explore, create, and share these moments, and for another unforgettable sunset by the sea.

Happy Fourth of July. ❤️🤍💙

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
