Evening Reflections
A Birthday Sunset for Mom…
Tonight’s sunset felt a little more meaningful because today is my mom’s birthday. ❤️
I walked along the Venice Canals as the last golden light settled over the water. The palm trees and little bridges reflected so beautifully, and everywhere I looked, flowers were still blooming, little splashes of pink, yellow, and coral reminding me how much beauty surrounds us.
And tonight, one message felt especially perfect:
“Some of your best days are ahead of you.”
That is my birthday wish for my mom. I hope there are so many beautiful days still ahead of her. Days filled with happiness, laughter, peace, strength, flowers, birds, sunsets, and all the little things that make life beautiful.
I’m especially grateful to her for giving me my love of nature and birds. She taught me to notice them, and that gift has become such a huge part of who I am and how I see the world.
Tonight, as the sky faded and the reflections danced across the canals, I was simply grateful.
Grateful for another sunset.
Grateful for another day.
And most of all, grateful for my mom.
Happy Birthday, Mom.
Grateful. Always.
