Evening Reflections
Already Written in the Water…
Tonight, at Oxford Basin felt like a gentle reminder that not everything needs to be figured out… some things are simply meant to be felt.
The sky softened into that perfect golden glow, and the silhouettes of the palm trees stood tall like quiet witnesses to the day coming to a close. There’s something about silhouettes—I think they remind us that even without all the details, the beauty is still undeniable.
As I stood there, little ducks came racing by, creating ripples that stretched across the water like tiny brushstrokes. One in the back completely stole my heart—having the best time, splashing and gliding like nothing else mattered. No rush, no comparison… just pure joy in the moment.
And then there was one goose, off on his own.
Not lonely. Just… peaceful.
It made me think about how sometimes we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be—even when it looks different from everyone else.
I framed the moment with the branches around me, like nature was holding the scene together just long enough for me to really see it. And in that stillness, this message landed deeper than ever:
“Relax. It’s already yours. It was written in the stars before you were born.”
The water didn’t rush.
The birds didn’t question.
The sky didn’t try to be anything other than what it was.
And maybe that’s the reminder for all of us.
We don’t have to chase what’s already unfolding for us.
We don’t have to force what’s already finding its way.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do… is trust.
Tonight, I did just that. 💫
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
