Evening Reflections

Another Life Begins…

I almost missed it.

That feeling when the day is slipping away and you wonder if you’re going to catch the sunset in time… And I did.

I arrived just as the sun was melting into the horizon, painting the sky in soft golds, peaches, and deep glowing orange. The clouds stretched like brushstrokes across the sky, and the waves were crashing over the breakwater like they were applauding the end of the day.

It felt like a celebration.

There’s something extra special about a birthday sunset. Like the world pauses for just a second and reminds you how beautiful it is to be here… to witness it… to feel it.

The sanderlings were there too, running fearlessly along the shoreline, dancing in and out with the waves like they’ve mastered the art of trust. They don’t hesitate. They just go. And there’s something so inspiring about that.

I stood there thinking about how every year isn’t just time passing… it’s growth. It’s becoming. It’s choosing again and again who you want to be.

And I came across this quote that felt like it was written for this exact moment:

“We live many lives in one. Every time you take a new path, another life begins.”

That’s what birthdays feel like to me now.

Not just getting older… but stepping into another life.

And the most beautiful part?

Every year, I feel better and better.

Stronger. Clearer. More me.

Grateful for another trip around the sun… and excited for the new life that’s just begun.

Capturing beauty beauty, sharing light.
