Evening Reflections

Worth Every Grain…

Some sunsets whisper. Tonight’s sunset roared.

The wind came in strong, sweeping across Venice Beach like it had something important to say. Sand lifted and danced through the air, tapping against my skin like tiny reminders to stay present. It wasn’t calm. It wasn’t quiet. And somehow… it was absolutely perfect.

The palm trees swayed wildly, like they were celebrating something only they understood. The graffiti walls stood bold and colorful, speaking their truth into the wind, refusing to be ignored. And out beyond it all, the waves crashed against the breakwater with power and rhythm—nature’s heartbeat, loud and alive.

Then came the pelicans… gliding together so effortlessly, like they were stitched into the sky. And closer to the shore, the little sanderlings—so small, yet so fierce—moving as one. Watching them, it hit me… there is real power in numbers, in unity, in moving together with purpose.

Yes, I got blasted by sand.

Yes, my hair was everywhere.

And yes… it was completely worth it.

Because moments like this aren’t meant to be comfortable. They’re meant to be felt.

And as I stood there, surrounded by wind, waves, wings, and color, I thought about this:

“Some of the best days in your life haven’t even happened yet… how exciting!”

If this wild, windy, sand-filled evening could be this beautiful… imagine what’s still on the way.

Grateful for today.

Grateful for the wind.

Grateful for the reminder that even the messy moments can be magic.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
