Evening Reflections

Look Up — Venice Always Has Something to Show You…

Some evenings in Venice feel like a movie scene. Tonight, the wind was strong, bending the tall palm trees so they swayed like dancers against the sky. The sunset slowly painted the horizon in soft orange and gold while the beach filled with silhouettes of people walking, skating, and just enjoying the moment.

I’ve always loved the way Venice comes alive at sunset. The palm trees stand tall like guardians of the coast, graffiti walls tell colorful stories, and the ocean quietly reflects the changing light.

It never gets old.

One of my favorite moments tonight came when I looked up and noticed the artwork high in the palm tree — a leopard climbing and a macaw flying. It felt like a reminder from the universe to always keep looking up in life. Sometimes the most beautiful things are easy to miss if we forget to pause and notice them.

Birds were flying together overhead, perfectly in unison, while the American flag waved strongly in the ocean breeze. Everything felt alive in that windy evening air.

And as I walked back to my car, I passed Muscle Beach where the palm trees framed the last colors of the sunset. The sky was glowing behind the gym, creating one of those quiet moments where you just feel grateful to be exactly where you are.

A perfect ending to the day.

Tonight reminded me of something simple but powerful:

“Make a masterpiece of the ingredients you have been given.”

Nature does it every day with clouds, wind, light, and color. And maybe we can too.
