Morning Reflections

Winter Solstice Blessing…

This morning the ocean felt like a deep exhale. The sand was cool, the waves steady and unhurried, and in my hand I held a small handwritten blessing — a reminder that even on the longest night, light is already finding its way back. There is something powerful about standing at the edge of the water during this season. Everything slows. Everything listens. And then the birds came.

Not one or two — but many. From every direction. Circling, calling, gathering like they knew I was there. Like they remembered me. Their joy was unmistakable. Wings wide, energy light, happiness effortless. No fear. No hesitation. Just recognition.

It always humbles me how nature responds when we show up with presence instead of expectation. The birds don’t ask questions. They don’t rush. They arrive fully, exactly as they are, exactly when they’re meant to.

This morning felt like a reminder:

That we are seen even when we are quiet.

That kindness is felt long before it is spoken.

That light doesn’t force its way in — it returns gently.

As the tide moved in and out, I thought about cycles. Darkness and light. Stillness and motion. Solstice isn’t an ending — it’s a turning point. A promise that even when things feel paused, growth is already happening beneath the surface.

Today I’m grateful for signs that arrive softly.

For wings that recognize familiar energy.

For moments that say, you belong here.

May we all move into this new cycle with open hands, steady hearts, and trust in the light that’s already on its way back.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Show up gently. The world recognizes sincere energy. Even the birds remember.
