Morning Reflections
Wings Everywhere…
There is something about a Saturday morning on the pier that makes the whole world feel a little lighter.
The sun was shining over the water, and the pigeons were already lined up along the railing waiting for me. Then, one by one, birds started flying in from everywhere. Before I knew it, there were wings all around me. 🕊️
Their excitement is one of the most beautiful things to witness. They don’t hide their happiness. They just come flying in with everything they’ve got, and somehow their joy becomes mine too.
I looked up and saw three pigeons perched together on the light post, watching everything from above. And of course, Pegleg came over to greet me. I always love seeing that familiar little face.
Today’s quote felt perfect:
“You should sit in nature for 20 minutes a day… unless you’re busy. Then you should sit for an hour.”
Maybe that’s because nature has a way of reminding us that slowing down isn’t wasting time. Sometimes it’s exactly where we find ourselves again.
The ocean was calm, the sun was glowing, the railing was full, and the sky was alive with wings.
Another ordinary morning that felt anything but ordinary.
So grateful for these beautiful Saturday mornings, these little souls who come flying toward me, and another chance to simply stop, look around, and appreciate it all. 💙
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
