Morning Reflections

Where Wishes Take Flight…

There’s something so peaceful about a soft, overcast morning in the marina. The ocean feels quieter, like it’s speaking in a whisper instead of a roar. And right on time, Pegleg was there to greet me—just like always.

He didn’t just say hello… he walked with me. The whole way down the pier. Like a little guardian of the morning, keeping me company step by step. And of course, he had plenty to say. Soon his friend joined in, and the two of them filled the air with their chatter—like they were sharing all the morning news I didn’t know I needed.

Out on the water, a surfer—Jay—was finishing his last wave of the morning. There’s something so beautiful about that final ride… like closing a chapter with grace.

Back on the pier, the pigeons were lined up perfectly along the railing, waiting, watching, ready. And Domino… sweet Domino… came right when I called her. Like she always does. That kind of connection never stops feeling magical.

And in that moment, surrounded by wings, waves, and quiet joy, I held onto a simple truth:

“A dream is a wish your heart makes.”

Sometimes dreams don’t feel far away.

Sometimes they’re right here…

in the sound of the ocean,

in the rhythm of wings,

in showing up and being present.

Grateful for today.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
