Morning Reflections

Little Acrobats, Big Reminders…

This morning felt like a quiet celebration in motion.

The sky was soft and gray, the kind that doesn’t try too hard… just is. And somehow, that made everything feel even more beautiful. The birds were especially playful today, flying in from every direction like tiny performers in a sky-wide show. Little acrobats flipping, gliding, swooping… completely free.

There’s something about watching them that always shifts something in me. No hesitation. No overthinking. Just movement, instinct, joy.

Pegleg found me right away, of course. He always does. That familiar connection never gets old. It’s like being recognized in the purest way—no expectations, just presence.

Out over the water, the pelicans were gliding in perfect unison. Effortless. Calm. Like they’ve mastered the art of trusting the air beneath them. And below them, a little grebe floated quietly, completely content just being carried by the rhythm of the ocean.

A surfer was finishing up for the morning, riding out that last wave… that peaceful kind of ending that doesn’t feel like an end at all.

And in the middle of it all, this reminder landed so clearly:

“You’re not supposed to be any way other than the way you are.”

The birds don’t try to be anything else.

The ocean doesn’t try to be still.

The sky doesn’t force color when it doesn’t feel like it.

Everything just shows up… as itself.

Maybe that’s the lesson.

Just be.

Just show up.

Just trust that who you are is already enough.

And somehow… that’s where the magic lives.

Grateful for mornings like this.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
