Morning Reflections

Where the Wings Are…

There are some mornings that feel like pure happiness in motion, and today was one of them.

It was a beautiful Wednesday morning on the pier, and you can always tell where I am because there are birds everywhere. I love seeing them come flying toward me from every direction. Their excitement lights me up in a way that is almost impossible to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

It seems like their joy grows a little more every day, and somehow, so does mine.

One of the things I love most about them is that they are never afraid to simply be who they are. They don’t worry about fitting in or being different. Each one has its own personality, its own little quirks, its own way of showing up. And that is exactly what makes them beautiful.

The moon was still faintly shining in the blue morning sky, a quiet reminder that sometimes one beautiful moment lingers while another begins.

Honey Girl came up from behind, just like she always does, and the pelicans glided low over the ocean so gracefully it looked like they were performing a ballet across the water. Adonis was perched in his usual lookout spot, keeping watch over everything below.

As I walked back, I saw Davide painting his beautiful artwork, capturing another little piece of Venice in his own way.

And the quote I carried with me this morning felt especially perfect:

“Take a step back today and look at all the beautiful things you have.”

The birds. The ocean. The moon. The sunshine. Art being created right in front of me. And another morning to experience it all.

Sometimes happiness isn’t something we have to search for. Sometimes it’s already flying all around us.

The perfect morning. So grateful.

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
