Morning Reflections

Where Kindness Meets the Tide…

This morning felt like a quiet celebration of connection.

The sun laid a shimmering path across the water, and as I stood there, the birds came flying toward me like they always do… full of trust, full of joy. It’s a feeling that never gets old. It’s like being welcomed into a moment that was waiting just for me.

Scooter was there, doing her sweet little backward scoot, tiptoeing in her own unique rhythm. She flies perfectly… she just moves through the world in her own beautiful way. A reminder that different doesn’t mean broken, it just means uniquely designed.

And today, something special happened. Speckles landed on my hand for the very first time. That quiet, brave moment of trust… it stayed with me.

As I was walking back, I turned on the water in the sink, and instantly it became a little bird bath party. Feathers splashing, wings fluttering, pure happiness in motion. It’s amazing how something so small can bring so much joy.

I held this thought close:

If you have the chance to make people happy—or birds, just do it. Sometimes people are struggling silently. Maybe your act of kindness can make their day.

Kindness doesn’t have to be big.

Sometimes it looks like showing up.

Sometimes it looks like peanuts in your hand… or water in a sink.

And sometimes… it looks like trust landing softly right in front of you.

Grateful for this morning. 🤍

Capturing beauty, sharing light.
