Morning Reflections
Welcomed by Wings and Whiskers
Sunday morning felt like a celebration. The birds flew in from every direction, full of joy, barely able to contain their excitement. It’s the kind of welcome that fills you up from the inside out. Honey Girl perched on my shoulder, steady and sweet. Pegleg gave his usual farewell as I left the pier, like a trusted friend waving goodbye. And just when I thought the morning couldn’t get more magical, a squirrel popped out near my car—another little messenger of joy. Every day seems to get better. Not because anything grand happens, but because I keep showing up. And they do too. It’s impossible not to feel good when you’re greeted with such love. This ritual, this rhythm, this connection—it’s everything. I am grateful to be known, to be welcomed, to be alive.
Morning Gratitude Thought
Joy arrives in feathers, fur, and familiar footsteps. To be welcomed is to be seen. To be seen is to be loved. And love, in its quiet forms, is the greatest gift of all.
