Morning Reflections
We Still Remember | September 11, 25 Years Later…
This morning on the pier felt a little different.
Twenty-five years later, September 11th remains a day to remember, to honor, and to pray. 🇺🇸
The sun rose over the beach, covering everything in the most beautiful golden light. Moo greeted me with that sweet smile of his, and then, almost on cue, the sky filled with wings.
The birds began their flybys, circling and soaring over the pier. Watching them against the morning sun felt especially meaningful today, almost like their own quiet remembrance.
One of the fishermen said something that made me smile. He told me he knew the exact moment I stepped onto the pier because all the birds suddenly took off. There is something so special about knowing they recognize me and that the trust we’ve built simply came from showing up, day after day.
They lined the railing, flew over the ocean, and surrounded the pier with wings. And, of course, before I could leave, Pegleg made absolutely sure I saw him.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still honor. We still pray.
Forever grateful for another sunrise, another morning surrounded by wings, and another reminder of just how precious life is. 🇺🇸
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
