Evening Reflections
Waiting for the Boat…
Tonight’s walk around Fisherman’s Village was full of soft light and quiet joy. The hibiscus were glowing in the sunset, their petals stretching toward the last golden rays like they knew how precious light can be. The birds and sea lions were gathered near the docks, waiting patiently for the fishing boat to come in. You could feel their excitement—an unspoken rhythm, a shared knowing. The boat was running late tonight, so I didn’t get to see it arrive. But the anticipation was beautiful in its own way. They were ready. They always are. There’s something comforting about nature’s consistency. The way the flowers reach, the way the animals gather, the way the light fades gently into evening. I’m grateful for these moments. For the quiet, the color, and the reminder that showing up—whether for dinner or for a sunset—is its own kind of magic.
Evening Gratitude Thought:
Grateful for hibiscus in sunset light, for birds and sea lions waiting with hope, and for the beauty of showing up—even when the boat runs late.
