Morning Reflections

They Found Me in the Fog…

Foggy morning, and the birds still found me.

The world felt softened today—edges blurred, colors muted, sound wrapped in quiet. Fog has a way of inviting mystery, asking us not to rush, not to need full clarity to keep moving forward.

And still, the birds came. As if visibility didn’t matter. As if presence was enough.

There was even a little sanderling up on the pier. I smiled when I saw him—usually I only see them darting along the shoreline, quick feet chasing the waves. He must have gotten the memo that this morning was different.

I love that about nature. It doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It shows up anyway.

Grateful for fog that teaches trust. Grateful for birds that remind me I’m never truly unseen. Grateful for mornings that whisper instead of shout.

Morning Gratitude Thought:

Foggy morning, and the birds still found me. Even a little sanderling up on the pier—out of his usual place, but right where he needed to be. A reminder that clarity isn’t required to be present. Grateful for the mystery of the fog and the quiet reassurance of being found.
