Morning Reflections
The Special Occasion…
This Sunday morning began with the most beautiful pink glow stretching across the sky over the pier. Before the day had even fully awakened, there was already something magical waiting.
And then, here came the birds.
They were ready for breakfast, flying in from every direction with that excitement that makes me smile every single time. I held out my hand, and here they came. Wings fluttering, little feet landing, everyone trying to find their perfect spot. These moments never get old to me.
Then there was Moo, looking up at me with that adorable smile of his. How can you not smile back at that little face?
As I started walking back, I remembered to look up.
The sun was peeking through the thick clouds, surrounded by this beautiful, mysterious glow. It almost looked like a doorway in the sky. I could have stood there and watched it all day.
And, of course, Pegleg made sure to come by and say hello before my morning was complete.
The message I carried with me today felt especially perfect:
“Understand that being alive is the special occasion. Don’t wait!”
We spend so much of life waiting for something special to happen, but maybe this is it.
A pink sky.
A handful of birds.
A smiling dog.
A familiar little friend coming to say hello.
The sun finding its way through the clouds.
Every day is special in its own way.
You just have to be here long enough to notice it.
So grateful for another beautiful Sunday morning and another reminder of how extraordinary it is simply to be alive.
Grateful. Always.
Capturing beauty, sharing light.
