Morning Reflections
The Originals…
I got to the pier a little later today. The birds sure let me know. They were waiting, watching, and the moment I arrived, they came in full force—so happy to see me. It’s really hard to describe how that feels. Their joy becomes mine. I’m just so grateful for them. Domino, Honey Girl, and Clubby were the first ones that ever came to me. They are the originals. They’re quite clingy—Domino flies in fast, Honey Girl lands on my shoulder from behind, and Clubby stands steady on my phone with her one foot. They always make me smile. It’s a kind of love that shows up every morning, no matter what. Grateful for their loyalty, their joy, and the way they remind me that showing up matters.
