Evening Reflections
The Little Dancer Stole the Show…
Tonight’s sunset in Marina del Rey was soft and peaceful, painting the harbor in shades of gold and blue. Sailboats rested quietly in their slips, their masts stretching toward the fading sky, while a hibiscus bloom seemed to glow in the evening light.
But the real star of the show was a little grebe.
He danced across the water, creating perfect ripples that spread outward like tiny works of art. I could have watched him all night long. There was something so beautiful about the way he moved, completely present in the moment, unaware that he had an audience who was absolutely captivated.
As I stood there watching him, I thought about the message I was carrying:
“Awake. Blessed. Grateful.”
Three simple words that felt especially true tonight.
The little grebe reminded me that beauty doesn’t have to be loud to be unforgettable. Sometimes the most magical moments are the quiet ones, floating gently across the water at sunset while the rest of the world rushes by.
Tonight, I was awake enough to notice it, blessed enough to experience it, and grateful enough to carry it home with me.
And for that, my heart is full. 💛
Awake. Blessed. Grateful.
Capturing beauty sharing light.
