Morning Reflections
The Joy That Finds Me First
This morning arrived like a quiet celebration. The sky was soft, the ocean steady, and the birds—oh, the birds—came from every direction, full of excitement. They greeted me before I even reached the pier, fluttering around me like I was the guest of honor at their morning gathering. Pegleg was there, faithful as ever. Honey Girl found her way to my shoulder, gentle and sure. And the pigeons—so full of joy—hopped on and off me like I was their favorite perch. It’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it. That kind of welcome. That kind of connection. It’s not about being needed—it’s about being known.
Every morning feels like a gift. And somehow, each one feels more magical than the last. I am grateful for this rhythm. For this joy. For the way the world shows up for me when I show up for it.
Morning Gratitude Thought
Joy doesn’t wait for permission. It flies in, lands softly, and reminds you—You are loved. You are seen. You are part of something beautiful. Keep showing up. The morning is waiting for you.
