Morning Reflections
The Joy of Being Chosen
This morning on the pier felt like a quiet kind of jubilation. The birds came from every direction, wings wide, hearts light. It was as if they knew something good was about to happen—and I was part of it.
They hopped around me, on and off like I was their favorite hangout spot. For a moment, I wasn’t just observing nature—I was part of it. And that feeling? It was pure joy. Like nature had extended an invitation to belong. I often think: if more people understood the gift of this—of simply being present with the world as it is—we’d live in a softer, more grateful place. We don’t need more things. We need more moments like this. More noticing. More awe.
Morning Gratitude Thought
Today, I felt chosen. And in that, I remembered: joy doesn’t come from what we own. It comes from what we honor.
